Woodward Elementary School has created and implemented integrated STEM based activities since 2013. This includes our Faculty STEM Challenges, Family STEM Nights, School-Wide STEM challenges, and ongoing Faculty Professional Learning for developing and implementing STEM strategies. Our students are exposed to integrated STEM activities in their classrooms and our STEM Lab using our engineering and design process in conjunction with our DeKalb County School District curriculum.
Additionally, our many stakeholders have provided us with generous donations of their time, talents, and vast STEM resources. The students and Faculty benefit by having this extended team of support.
We continue to work towards the integration of STEM learning across the curriculum school-wide that demonstrates our diverse population can achieve anything!
