Administrative Welcome

PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME MESSAGE

Greetings Woodward Elementary School Family,

I am pleased to welcome our teachers and staff to the 2025–2026 school year and to extend a warm welcome to the newest members of the Woodward Elementary School family. I hope the summer provided time for rest, reflection, and meaningful moments with family and loved ones. Caring for our well-being is essential so that we can fully support our scholars, families, stakeholders, and one another.

As we begin the school year, we remain focused on maintaining the high expectations and strong foundation that define Woodward Elementary. This commitment continues to guide our efforts as we work collaboratively to support student growth and achievement.

This year, our emphasis remains on strengthening instructional practices and increasing student achievement. We will continue to use effective tools, strategies, and instructional approaches to meet the diverse academic and social needs of our scholars. Our instructional priorities are aligned with the CSIP and include:

  • Foundational phonics and vocabulary instruction

  • High-quality writing instruction

  • Strengthening numeracy and computation, with an emphasis on multiplication in grades 3–5

  • Intentional small-group learning opportunities

  • Response to Intervention (RTI) and MTSS implementation

  • Strategic student and parent conferences

  • Individual teacher data reflections (Glow/Grow and Next Steps)

  • TKES/DKES goal-setting aligned to instructional data

Meeting scholars where they are—academically, socially, and emotionally—remains a priority. To support this work, we will take shared responsibility for student learning and classroom success, maintain consistent communication with parents regarding student progress and needs, and strengthen relationships through ongoing collaboration among teachers, students, families, and the community.

Our administrative, leadership, and support teams are committed to working alongside you to exceed expectations. We value your collaboration and input as we continue to strengthen effective practices while introducing strategies that support continued growth and success.

Warm regards,
Kimberly L. Clark
Proud Principal of Woodward Elementary School
