Welcome to another fantastic year of teaching and learning at the most sought after DeKalb County Elementary School, Woodward Elementary School! I am elated to be offered the esteemed opportunity to serve and support Woodward Elementary as one of the Assistant Principals specifically supporting the dynamic principal, Dr. Haddock and my Superlative Colleagues. This school year, I desire a partnership with each of you. As a seasoned educator, I share the belief that administrators, teachers, parents, the community, and school staff all share imperative roles in providing academic growth to all learners by creating a collaborating learning community.
One of my roles as the Assistant Principal, is to ensure that the rigorous academic needs of every learner at Woodward Elementary are being met. My primary instructional focus is STUDENT CENTERED. Your input and participation is vital to have each Woodward Wildcat to meet their highest academic potentials in order to contribute to the diverse society that we live in. Every Woodward Wildcat will be afforded equal learning opportunities to “Go Beyond Expectation, and Reach Greatness”! I eagerly join the entire Woodward Elementary Staff serving as a “total learning community” in supporting our students to EXCEED academic expectations this school year.
Educationally Yours,
Dr. Regina S. Blanton

2015 School Crashers Winners

Congratulations to Woodward Elementary School!

Georgia United is excited to announce the WINNER of its 2nd annual SCHOOL CRASHERS program… Woodward Elementary School of DeKalb County! Woodward was chosen from among hundreds of nominations from schools across the state. Georgia United’s judges had a difficult time choosing just one winner from so many deserving applicants.

School Crashers is a unique program from Georgia United, which offers local schools the opportunity to apply for a facility “makeover.” The goal of the program is to bring communities together to support local schools and their school systems. Any public, private or parochial school in Georgia was eligible to submit a 250 word statement why their school should receive a makeover. The winning school was announced today with Donna Lowry, education reporter from 11 Alive, along with DeKalb County Superintendent Michael Thurmond and Georgia United CEO Debbie Smith.
